"Song Service" at The Lost Church

 —  —

The Lost Church Santa Rosa, 850 4th St, Santa Rosa

Stanroy Music Center Presents Song Service, an intimate evening with three artists passing the spotlight. Expect insights into the craft of the song from inspiration to final form. *Every Third Thursday

Artist Jennaé aka TeloMirror flips through multiple instruments while creating soundscapes full of colorful melodies and abstract stories. Known to express anything but traditional bluegrass on the electric banjo, she enjoys genre bending and keeping things weird. Her live performances and studio material (under the names Seek the Freek and TeloMirror) are a blend of experimental songwriting, instrumentation, and visual art. Spontaneously shapeshifting back and forth from solo to full orchestration, the live experiences are unique to the occasions.

Eileen Torrez is a captivating songwriter whose dynamic vocals and nuanced guitar work bridge the gap between folk-rock, indie pop and soul. Always poignant, often playful, her clever and deeply personal lyrics tell stories of finding joy in survival and peace in the throes of destruction. She remains curious about meaning and writes love and anger with equal reverence. You can learn more about her music at

We're doing a really special show in Berkeley on Saturday April 28th at The Backroom.

Facebook Event:

We will be showcasing the songs the way they were always intended to be heard: Up close and in your lap!

Mark your calendars, stock up on your favorite beverages, and pull up a couch! This show is ALL-AGES so bring the family.

Have a listen to some of the tunes if you like!

The fabulous Eileen Torrez opens the evening for us.

Eileen's aim is to create songs that are intimate and life-changing, but that also speak the truths of oppression and have a political impact. She believes that music from the heart, with both calming melodies and lyrics that are genuine and vulnerable, can heal us as individuals and as a society.

Emily Zisman is a folk-Americana singer-songwriter born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area. As a writer, she takes her cues from artists like Dar Williams, Joni Mitchell, and Ani DiFranco. She sings of our vulnerabilities and fears, love and fight, crafting her lyrics into song with her soulfully-folk voice evocative of Emmylou Harris.

Her music blends folk, pop, R&B and jazz into unique melodies layered over the sweetness of her nylon-stringed guitar. She released her debut album, Honey, and Zest, in 2016. As an organizer and social worker, Eileen weaves themes of resilience, community, anti-capitalism and women's empowerment into her songwriting. She is a poet mentor with Youth Speaks and is passionate about building strength and community through art. You can learn more about Eileen on her website,, or follow her @eileentorrezmusic.

Little Spiral @, a.k.a. Suzanne Yada, is a piano-pop singer-songwriter who writes at the intersection of technology and heart.
